We’ve been lurking around and talking in hushed whispers in darkened corners (of pubs) about starting our own cycling news site for far too long, we’ve come out of the closet proudly wearing ill-fitting lycra and we’re ready to stick to the man. We’re not sure who the man we’ll be sticking it to is, so any suggestions are welcome, or not actually, keep your negativity to yourself. We’re here to be the voice of mis-informed reason in this world of elitist motherfuckers, we’ll call a card a card, and if your card is stuck in the spokes of your fixie we’ll ask why, listen to the answer, consider you a new friend and move on, possibly to a pub.
We did consider calling ourselves ‘Bike Punx’, but Velo Balls made us chuckle more, so Velo Balls it is. But you might see the phase ‘Bike Punx’ pop up occasionally, and that’s why. Like we have to explain ourselves to the likes of you…
We’re here now, we’re not pretty, but hopefully we’ll keep you amused for the few hours of life between rides. Fuck it, we like swearing, we like bikes and we’re here to say welcome to Velo Balls!
