We offer detailed information on the latest bikes and cycling equipment so you can make an informed purchase. We want you to have the best possible cycling experience, and that starts with choosing the right gear.

Black Friday 2016 – get the best bike bargains!
We all like to grumble a bit about Black Friday deals. Perhaps it’s the footage of rioters coshing each other with electrical goods in discount superstores. Perhaps it’s the commercialisation of the world that gets us down. However you feel about Black Friday deals the truth is that the cycling retailers we all know and…

Giro d’Italia 2015 – the story so far (part 3)
Passo del Mortirolo would have been large in the minds of the remaining riders as another day of mixed weather got the final week of the 2015 Giro d’Italia off to an intimidating start. All jersey wearers should be feeling pretty secure with Contador in pink and, apparently, only misfortune is likely to stop him…

Giro d’Italia 2015 – the story so far (part 2)
Week Two didn’t look very dramatic in advance. Something for the sprinters, yes, before many of them pack their bags and set off home, a probably significant time-trial, and a nice taster in the form of a big climb up to Madonna di Campiglio. But a rainy week meant crashes, and crashes mean upsets. Stage…

Astana ride on, but under close scrutiny
The Scottish legal system has an unusual alternative verdict to the familiar guilty or not guilty. Photos by Author So what is it about this patch of northern Europe that leads young men to pain, bloodshed, suffering and toil? “Spartacus” Not Looking So Sparky
The man known as “Spartacus” throughout the Cycling world is missing his mojo. For a man who has been a Time Trial World Champion and a Grand Tour Stage winner, he seems to share the same confidence as a man trying online dating for the first time instead of a highly decorated athlete. It has…
Boris Shares the Fight Against Cancer
Boris Bikes, that is. When we find a cause to fight for and support, we sometimes use unconventional ways to help shine a light on them. The more “light” we shine, the more attention is brought to our cause and the more support to help what we are fighting for. Three men flashed a blue…
Contador Shrugs Off Second Place Finish
Two highly-decorated racers who would most likely play an important key in the final standings, battled at the end of the opening time trial at Criterium du Dauphine. Alberto Contador finished eight seconds behind Chris Froome, but saw the light at the end of the tunnel. “It’s okay. For me the last part was very…
The Battle of Words Between Two Sirs
Do you feel a draft? It’s getting quite frosty on Team Sky. Not only are Chris Froome and Sir Bradley Wiggins having a tiff, but now a battle of he say/she say has started between Wiggins and Sir David Brailsford. And it’s never a good idea to argue with one’s employer. Wiggins claims he was…

The sport of Cycling is not easy. It takes courage, determination, perseverance, and a little bit of luck. And the fiery scot David Millar has ample amounts of each. His road has been an interesting one. From his near career change to being an art student, Millar has never taken the conventional route. He has…
Wiggins Wigged Out
The proverbial hammer has been dropped. Sir Bradley Wiggins has officially been omitted from Team Sky’s lineup for the cycling world’s biggest prize, the Tour de France. And it was not a mutual break-up: “I am gutted. I feel I am in the form I was in two years ago. Now if I want to…
Tejay’s stock set to rise, while Evans starts to fade
Last year’s Tour de France was a nightmare for Tejay van Garderen. And I imagine he still wakes up in the middle of the night with visions of Team BMC’s collapse on the cycling world’s biggest stage. Just ask sporting manager Allan Peiper: “We went to the Tour de France and it was a fiasco…

Thank you, BMX stunt Boris!
When the scheme for the Barclays Cycle Hire was announced, critics all over London hi-fived each other. It was seen as game-changing and people pointed and laughed at those silly 4-wheeled vehicles that took up most of the road. “Cars? Those things are soooo 2009.” This bright idea was going to change the way Londoners…
Marcel Kittel says ‘Don’t be a dick’
This post falls very much into the category of ‘it sucks that it has to be said’ but Marcel Kittel and Shimano have bumped skulls and punted out a video encouraging fans to look after themselves when out watching cycling. Now, you’d think this would go without saying, especially following the horrible collision between Vansummeren and a spectator…

The biggest cycling event of the year is approaching soon. The Tour de France? No, the first official London cycle hire race, silly. Bristol is trialling some fancy technology to alert bus drivers to the fact that cyclists made be on the inside of their combustion monsters Well, first, why any cyclist would cycle up the inside of a moving bus is beyond me.
