Jack’s Window Cleaning in Ipswich

I’ve just built a one-page website for my friend Jack Fawthropp. He’s been my next-door neighbour for years, and he’s a top chap. Jack recently started a window cleaning business in Ipswich, Suffolk and asked me for some digital marketing advice.

Jack’s new window cleaning business is called Gem Shine Windows.

The strategy is really simple:

  1. A one-page website
  2. A Google Business Profile
  3. Some well-designed business cards
  4. Just do a really good job

The building method

Jack wasn’t quite sure what he wanted on his website, so I put together a list of questions and recorded our conversation. That gave me a transcript to work from when building the site. I used Manus AI to build the website.

Why I like sites like this

I really enjoy working with businesses like this, ones that don’t need much more than a solid online presence. As the business grows, we might build on this foundation, but for now, this is all that’s needed to get started.

It does concern me that many businesses try to launch with far too much complexity. You don’t need to be on every social platform or have a website with hundreds of pages. Sometimes, a simple, well-made placeholder is all you need. In that sense, your website becomes your online business card.

Take a look at the site—and if you’re in the Ipswich area and need your windows or gutters cleaned (or a variety of other jobs), I heartily recommend visiting Jack’s website and getting in touch.
