Phine was an Ipswich-based band formed in 1997.

Recording History
In 1997, the band recorded a studio demo at Springvale Studios. Notably, this session coincided with extreme metal band Cradle of Filth recording their album Cruelty and the Beast at the same location, leading to a meeting between the two bands.
One track from this demo is titled “Trimipramine,” featuring music and lyrics by Paul O’Connor.
Live Performances
Phine was active in the local live scene during the late 90s.
- Premier Pool Club (December 1997): The band played a show at this venue which was captured on video.
- Guest Appearance with Ragman: The band had a connection with fellow local act Ragman. During one of Ragman’s gigs, they allowed Phine to “sprint on” to the stage to perform a single original song before Ragman returned to finish their set.
